Rules

​

• Deadline for entries is December 1, 2021.

• The contest is open to anyone who is a Gnadenhutten Public Library card holder, or a resident of Tuscarawas, Harrison, Coshocton or Guernsey counties.

• Entering the contest is free.

• Entries can be mailed, dropped off in person, or submitted by email to: Gnadenhuttenpl@gmail.com. If emailed, entry format must be: JPG, TIF, PDF.

• Hard copy entries must be at least 8.5x11 inches and no larger than 11x17 inches.

• Three entries may be submitted by one entrant.

• All entries must include the designer’s full name, email address, and a completed entry form. (Submit a form with each entry if entering more than one design.)

• Entrants under 18 must have a parent or guardian complete and sign the consent section of the entry form.

• The purpose of the contest is to design a logo for the Gnadenhutten Public Library that captures the mission and spirit of the Gnadenhutten Public Library and our place in the community.

• Flexibility of the design: logo must be easily resized, look good in black and white, grayscale and color and be suitable for high quality printing.

• Entrants should take care to ensure their entries are not in any way similar to existing logos or other copyrighted images and are original art work.

• The logo must contain the words Gnadenhutten Public Library.

• A tagline may be included.

• The winning logo will be the property of the Gnadenhutten Public Library to publish, display or reproduce, to market or use in advertising through any type of media including but not limited to: website (online/social media and other new media opportunities), brochures, letterheads, envelopes, banners, signs, posters, new library cards, t-shirts, bags, and advertisements.

• The winning design will be decided in December 2021 and the designer will receive a $50 cash prize, recognition and a reciprocal link on the Gnadenhutten Public Library website and the right to use the basic logo and identify him/herself as the logo designer.

Judging and Selection of Winner

• The winning design will be selected by the Board of Trustees of the Gnadenhutten Public Library.

• Their decision will be final.

• The Gnadenhutten Public Library Reserves the right not to select a winner if, in its sole discretion, no suitable entries are received.

• Accepting the prize constitutes permission for Gnadenhutten Public Library to make public and otherwise use winner’s name and city of residence for publicity purposes.
